Unitree GO2 Robot workshops – Introduction (Fundamental Skills) Year 3&4 Students

Abstract

In these classes, Mr. Jacky Yau will explore how the Unitree Go2 robot is transforming the landscape of robotics education. Participants will gain fundamental and advanced skills in operating and programming the Unitree Go2, fostering hands-on learning and critical thinking. Through immersive experiences, students will engage with quadruped robotics, develop autonomy in programming, and cultivate problem-solving abilities. Embracing the Unitree Go2 empowers learners to innovate and take ownership of their educational paths, shaping a dynamic future in technology.

Content:

Introduction to the concept of quadruped robots and their practical applications
Overview of the structure and the main components of the Unitree Go2 robot
Safety operation procedures for the Unitree Go2 robot
Familiarization with different operational modes:
– General mode
– AI mode
– Companion mode
Interaction with the robot using the BenBen Dog chatbot function
Basic block coding to create and preview simple robot programs

This workshop is eligible for Year 3 and 4 students.
